The whole four were convicted and sentenced to three months' imprisonment each. Jb'or insobriety Louisa I'iwnoy was fined 10s., in default three days' imprisonment, and Minnie Nelson was fined i!os., with tilt! option ot! seven days' imprisonment, l-'ive first olfenders were convicted and discharged. Thomas Mee was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, and on a charge of beins an idle and disorderly person, in that he possessed insufficient lawful means of support, he was ordered to come up lor sentence when called upon. William Gooch, .Gtorge Isaacs and Thomas Eielly, convicted of using threatening behaviour in Cambridge Terrace, whereby a breach of the peace was committed, wevo each fined 10s. and costs, and also expenses of witnesses. For committing a breach of his prohibition order William Alfred Phillips was fined 10s., and ordered to pay costs 7s. MOTORISTS IN COURT. John Bnrker. for driving a motor-car without a registered mark or brand beins visible, was ordered to pay 7s. costs. For leaving a, motor-car unattended in Lambton Quay, Howard Nattras was fined 10s., and ordered to pay costs 7s. William Henry Salter, for driving a motor-car past a standing tram-car while passengers- were about to alight, was fined 205., and ordered to pay costs totalling £1 15s. < For having insufficient light on their vehicles Fred. Beard, Louis Brouzh, and James Wilson were each fined 10s. and costs 75., and for a similar offence Arthur Horner was ordered to pay 7s. costs. WANDERING STOCK. For allowing stock to wander Chas. \V. iiayJid was fined ss. and costs Hs.; James Bradshaw was fined 2s. lid. and costs 75.; Norman Ellice, Ernest Hadley and W. liandell were each ordered to pav 7s. costs; C. Harris and W. Stacc were each ordered to nay Bs. 9d. costs; N. Shannon was fined 10s. and costs 7s. BY-L'AW CASES. Thomas Phillips Williams, who failed to appuur, was charged with omitting to Day H train fare -when called upon to do so by ii tram conductor. Ho was convicted and lined ss.
