London, June IS. The Admiralty reports: "A Japanese torpedo flotilla attacked and is believed to have sunk an enemy submarino in the Mediterranean on Tuesday."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assnt-Reuter. Admiral Yamaji, of tho Japanese Navy, outlining Japan's part in tho war, said that, in response to the appeal of the British Government, Japanese warships wero operating in the Mediterranean and tho Indian Ocean, and some wero operating closo to the shores of Australia.— Press Assn.
