THE WAR ON HOSPITAL SHIPS STORY OP THE DOVER CASTLE. (Rec. June 20, 0.30 a.m.) London, June 10. Tho survivors from the hospital ship Dover Castle (sunk by a submarine last month) have arrived. They state it was a beautifully calm night when the 6hip was attacked. Tho first warning of the explosion was tho ripping of a great hole in the vessel, and the killing of six stoke-hole men. A comrade dragged out another fireman with a broken jaw and shoulder, and bruises and cuts from head to foot. The officers and doctors displayed the utmost courage, and directed the rescue work. Six hundred of tho wounded and many armless men were hobbling about swathed in bandages. There was great relief when it was announced that all had been trnsferred. No nurses wore on board the ship, which nose-dived after the second torpedo hit her.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
