9 Messrs. C. M. Luke (president), A. Leigh Hunt. L. A. Edwards, J. I'. Atkins. T. Forsyth, G. Winder, W. ,T. Gaudin, and \V. Smith wore present at a meeting of tho Council of the Central Chamber of Commerce helrl .yesterday afternoon. Tho Chairman announced that satisfactory terms had been arranged with Mr. (ieorgo Winder for a re-lease ot* tho room which (he chamber occupied in Winder's Buildings on the basis of tlio same rent which had beon paid hitherto. The financial statement showed <:<ish at the bank, JC3.I 7s. 7d.; cash to credit of the commercial defence fund, «I' 4; subscriptions due, JJSI t?s.; lotlings duel ,£6 'Is. Accounts lo the amount of .631 Is. 3d. were passed for pa.ymont.
