A satisfactory clearance was mado at the following quotations— Sheep: Fat wethers (extra, prime), £2 55.; fat ewes, 30s. to 345;.4tooth wethers, 35a. 6d.; shorn lambs (poor condition), 7s. lOd. to lis. 6d. Cattle: Fat cows, £11 9s. to .£l2; vealcre, £4 18s.; forward cows. £7. £7 10s., to £9 lis.; store cows, £6 to £6 17s. 6d.; Z-ycar steers and Meilers. £8 2s. 6d.: eprinciDK oows, £6 15s. to £10 Zs. 6(1. Pigs: Wcancrs. Us. 6d.; snial stores, 12s. to 145.; porkers, 31s. to £2 Bs., £2 155., to £3 4s. 6d. The Now Zealand Loan'and Mercantile Agency Company report:—At Rangiotu on Monday we had a fair yarding of cattle, all of which sold readily at good values. Low and aged store cows, £4 Is., £5 75., £5 135., £5 195.; fair store cows, £6 35., £6 10s.. £7; forward cows, £7 165., £8, £8 35.; light fat cows, £9, £9 145.; 20-month steers (good), £10 7s. At their monthly sale at Itiiuinei on Tuesday a small yarding came forward. Competition for sheep was slack, but cattle sold well. Quotations: Empty ewes, 205.: 4-year ewes in lamb, 285.; empty forward heifers, £6 17.5. 6d.; fat cows, C 9 10s., £11 175.; springing heifers, £9.
