NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW
Readers are reminded that the big winter event, to bo held on tho Pahuerstou show grounds next month, is a mattor of public interest. Entries in honey, cookery, fruit, roots, vegetables, grain, grass seed, farm products, photography, needlework, deer heads, dog trials, 'horse competitions, poultry, milk-testing, etc., are due to close on Saturday. To meet local requirements the office will be kept open until 5 p.m. on that date, and it is hoped that all classes of the community will rally to the National Daily Show with entries. Tho Show Committee urge that the town and country cannot afford to allow the liigh standard to be lowered, and it is hoped that the same interest commanded by the past and gone'fixtures will be again maintained. All information can be obtained from the secretary, Box 85, Palnierston North.
In view of the anticipated short supply of fertilisers throughout the Dominion, announcement of an expected shipment of "Ephos" basic phosphate will be of interest to farmers. "Ephos" was first imported into New Zealand some two years ago, and has since been extensively used with satisfactory results. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., are the New Zealand agents for "Ephos." .Dairy farmers, you'll be wise in having your milking machines and engines overhauled in readiness for the season.
