MILITARY REJECT COMMITS SUICIDE

By Telegraph.—Press Association. ■ Wairoa, May 8, News reached town last evening that a young man named William Eric Neale, aged 26,- ' son of Mr. W. A. Neale, a well-known retired farmer at Waikaremoana, had been found dead with a bullet wound over tho heart. The body was brought two miles over rough country, and an inquest was held about midnight. The evidence disclosed that .deceased had brooded over the' fact ;that a medical board had turned him down on May i. Deceased said that he was no use in this world if ho could not go to the war. A verdict of suicide while suffering from temporary insanity, caused through rejection for active service, was returned.
