£16,500,000 FOR MEAT Up till Saturday last the Deoartmentvof Imperial Government Supplies had purchased and shipped awav (since March 3, 1915)'1,415,026 quarters of beef, 5,494,569 carcasses of mutton, and 7,073,686 carcasses of lamb, the total payments for which amounted to , £16,683,700. ... Tho total payments for cheeso made between November 4, 1915, and Saturday last, amounted to £2,153,707. That amount, included 16,4.40 crates tlißt were on tho torpedoed Rotorua.
