CRUELTY TO A HORSE.

David Wilson was charged by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals with cruelly ill-treating a horse. According to the evidence, accused struck tho horse two or three times on the mouiJn with a stick, and also kicked it. Witnesses maintained that there was not the least need for this cruelty, as the horse was standing quietlv. Wilson was convicted and fined '10s.
