ORPHANS' CLUB

■ • 'ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wellington Orphans' Club was held on Saturday, before a good- attendance oT membiers'. The report and balance-sheet showed .the club to be in a very solind condition.

Special reference was made by the •chairman, Orphan Archibald Hunt, to the 1916 session, pointing out that it was the , most successful in the-history of 'the club. • Not one single subscription remained unpaid—surely a record. During the year ' £105 was ■ handed' over- to patriotic funds. Mention was made concerning the club's Roll of Honour, which shows over 70 names of brother Orphans at the front or in camp. Christmas letters were sent Orphans at the front, convey-' ing to them cheering words from their old club mates. .
