AN OPEN-AIR MEETING

Notwithstanding the wet weather, Messrs. R. A., Wright, Norwood, and Shorlaikl, candidates for the City Council under the auspices _ of the Greater Wellington Municipal Electors' Association, had a. satisfactory attendance at their opening: meeting of the campaign at Coiirtenay Place, on Saturday evening. Milk "distribution, housing accommodation, and various other necessary undertakings were handled by tho candidates,, whe showed the various sides of .these intricate problems. Harbour Board matters were reviewed/ by Messrs. Wright and Norwood, who are offering their sen-ices at the forthcoming election. A number of questions were asked.

Meetings are announced for Lyall Bay and Kilbirnio this evening.
