' The strongest section, for Clydesdales (says the "Sydney Daily Telegraph," in referring to, the Royal Show) was undoubtedly that for mares four years old and over. With but two or three exceptions, the ten mares paraded were a splendid, lot, necessitating a good deal of time in judging. In thb final selection were the Department of Agriculture's representatives, Veronica and Torr's Princess, both imported from Scotland, and Falkin'er Lady Ida and Widgiewa Baroness. The judge finally decided; on last year's champion, Lady Ida, as first, with' Veronica second, and Widgiewa Baroness third.' Lady Ida. is a New Zealand-bred ; mare, by the imported sire Abbot) anij.she' is amare of very good type and quality, combined with substance. .Veronica is a mare who has won in good company; in Scotland. Though not possessing the size of the, winner, sbe has great type and quality. Widgiewa Baroness is a good quality mare. ~ ' . ' , ■
