YACHTING
There are twelve entries for tho Port Nicholson Yacht Club's long-dis-tance race to-day. The club is arranging for a veterans' race on the ing Saturday. Any old member of the club will be given a tiller as for as the boats will go round. On Wednesday night the committee will allot tho boats to those veteranß who are willing to sail them. Considering the times, and consequent shortage of crews, the cfub has had a very (successful season. The Rona has won tho senior championship, and the sec-ond-olass championship has been won by the Winward, the runnosrup being Viola (first-class), and lolanthe (secondclass). ; ,
