ATTEMPTS TO SETTLE THE POLL

They have decided that despite the attitudeof the Labour Opposition, they will not abandon their efforts to form a National Government. . Mr. Hughes has received a communication from.Mr. Lloyd George showing that the scope of the Imperial Conferenco -has been considerably enlarged, and that it is more than ever necessary that Australia should be directly represented. No developments are expected before Parliament meets, next week.—Press Association.
