Ihe New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Upper Hutt sale they submitted a large yarding of sheep and a medium entry of cattle, which, sold well under spirited competition. Quotations:— Forward store wethers, 335. Bd. to 335. lid.; store wethers four-tooth, 325. to 335.; cull two-tooth wethers, 265. lid. to 275. 2d.; tw**?*th wethers, to 295.; small two-tooth ewes 275. 6d. to 295.; cull ewes, aged. 225. 4d '■ storo lambs, 18s.; cull lambs, 10s. 9d.; aged rams, to 225. 6d.; forward cows, to £9 155.; fat and forward cows, to £11 55.empty two-year heifers, to £8 10s.; steers £11 175.; bulls, to £8 10s. Owing to the continued dry weather all classes were slightly easier, and bidding at auction was rather dragging. Howeyor, a. good clearanco was made at the following rates:—Two and four-tooth wethers, 325. 6d.; m.s. twotooths, 325.; good m.s. Tfoolly lambs, 19s. 5d.; ewe lambs, 18b. lCd.; wether lambs, 17s. Id.; cull lambs, 10s. 10d.; springing heifers, £11. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palmerßton North, report having a very good entry of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle at their Feilding sale on Friday. Stock of all classes were in good demand, and practically a total clearance was effected. Quotations: Shecp-6mall shorn lambs, 10s. 9d.. 10s.-10d., to 12s. 6d.; blackfaco shorn lambs, 14s. Id., 15s, 6d„ to 16s. Bd.; woolly lambs, 18s. 7d, 15s. 4d„ to Hs. Bd.; mixed-aged ewes, 235. 9d. to 265. 3d.; four-tooth owes, small, 335. 2d.; fat ewes, 345. 6d.
