BLOW AT THE PACIFISTS. (Rec. January 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 26. A Labour Conference Committee has been .appointed to investigate charges against Mr. Arthur Henderson regarding the Clyde deportations. It was resolved, by 1,123,000 votes against 1,107,000 to provide for the election of sixteen representatives for the National Executive. Affiliated organisations are restricted to the nomination of one candidate, unless the membership exceeds 50,000. This change strikes a blow at the pacifist and independent Labourites, and also reduces the Socialist representation. Theso sections will possibly be withdrawn.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
