SEAPLANE RAID ON POLA
AUSTRIAN FLEET BOMBED Rome, January 14. Italian and French, seaplanes raided Pola on. January 12, and bombed the Austrian fleet. They drove, off enemy aeroplanes, and returned safely. Enemy aeroplanes unsuccessfully bombed Italian torpedo boats.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. ZEPPELINS FOILED Amsterdam, January 14. The "Krouz Zeitung" admits that the British and French have found means of foiling Zeppelins, and urges immediate submarine warfare the iitmost cruelty and lack of consideration lest the delay may enable the Entente to find means of protection against submarines.—Aus.-N.Z.
