MORE VESSELS TORPEDOED London, January 14. ENEMY REPORT DISCREDITED London, January 14. German wireless reports state that a British cruiser of tho Juno typo was destroyed by a direct hit. The British Admiralty states tTtat no British cruiser was sunk, and that tho German report presumably refers to the loss of tho seaplane carrier Ben-my-Chree.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.-Reuter. [The Ben-my-Chree was sunk by gunfire in Kastelorizo Harbour, Asia Minor, on Thursday last. Ono officer and four men wero wounded.] WAR ON WMkl SHIPPING Copenhagen, January l<l. Accorling to the Berlin "Stidonde," a prominent official at the German Foreign Office has declared that the submarining of neutral shipping will not be increased.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn. MAIL BAGS JETTISONED (Bee. January 15, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 14. A German destroyer captured a Danish steamer in Swedish waters. A Gorman submarine stopped the Swedish steamer Ingeborg, 1156 tons, in tho North Sea, and compelled her to jettison seven hundred French and English mail bags consigned to Russia, Rumania, and Japan.—Aus.-N.Z.
