MILITARY SERVICE BOARDS
Sir,—May I submit that no flood end can be served at the present juncture by thejuethods adopted by the members of the above boards, viz., the manner in which so much publicity is given to a man's private affairs. All rightthinking people in the Dominion will strongly resent this class of cross-ex-amination. It is certainly an injust:ce to the individual, and for the good of the cause, it is hoped the authorities will not allow its continuance.— I am, etc., A. R. EORNBLOW. Newtown. .[There are matters of a private nature in soma cases which should, and in nwst instances we believe are, dealt with" in camera. Most people, howover, will agree that it is desirable that there should be no suspicion of holc-aud-corner' methods in dealing with applications for exemptions. Captain Walker, _ who represents the military authorities in this district, in the examination of witnesses, appears to ■carry out the duties entrusted to him very efficiently.] •
