November 26, 5.5 p.m.) London, November 25. Sir Douglas Haig reports: "There has been hostile artillery firing in the neighbourhood of Lesboeufs and Beaucourfc. Our artillery dispersed the enemy's infantry southward of Puisious. Five of the enemy's aeroplanes were "destroyed, and several damaged. Three of ours are missing." (Rec. November 26, 11.15 p.m.) London, November 26. . Sir Douglas Haig reports"Our heavy artillery shelled various imgoitant points behind the enemy's front. The weather is stormy." . A French official communique slates: "The French aviators fought forty engagements on the Somnie, bringing down ( five machines. Guynemer brought down his twenty-third victim. Two of our squadron heavily bombed Bruyeres and Briselles, while late yesterday evening four bombed the blast furnaces and factories at Volklingen, returning unharmed." (Rec. Novembor 26, 5.5 p.m.)' Paris, November 25. A French official communique states: "British naval aircraft dropped a ton of bombs upon the blast furnaces at Dillingen with good effeofc." ■
