J list]co Ilosking said the only substantial question was the minimum rates ot wages tor tlie various classes of workers. The majority of the Court came to tho conclusion, having regard to tho fact that heavy burdens had been imposed oil the mining industry as a result of the war in the shape ol increased taxation and high prices ; of all classes of materials -used by employers, that they could not properly 'grant any general increase of wage's. They considered, Ikoivovor, that some assistance should bo given to the lowestpaid workers, and this had been done. ! _ Mr. M'Oullougli dissented' from the ueoision of tho majority of tho Court, holding that all the workers should hare been granted increased wages.
