HISTORIC DINNER IN THE CITADEL. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. (Rec. September 12, 9.40 p.m.) PaSjs, September 12. Mr. Lloyd George (British War Minister) was the guest of honour- at an historic dinner at tho invitation of General Dubois and tho officers of the Verdun garrison in a subterranean chamber >in the centre of the Citadel. Mr. Lloyd. George said: "Verdun will ever evoko an imperishable memory. Slio not only saved France, but the cause of the whole of humanity."
