CITY'S RESPONSE BIG PROPORTION OP UNFITS Last week 125 men enlisted in the city. Seventy-six were passed as fit, leaving the heavy proportion of 10 per cent, unlit. The city, as has already ueen_ stated, lias more" than fulfilled its obligations respecting the Eighteenth Reinforcements which went into camp last week, and no more men from this group will be sent into camp until the Nineteenth draft goes in towards tho end of this month. The latest recruits enrolled as fit for active service are:—S. H. Evans, electrician, City. J. S. Findlater, painter, Petone. W. H. Maston, kitchenman, City. J. N. Nott, farmer, City. Jt. Eccles, labourer, City. F. N. Samuel, clerk, City. Binoculars and Wristlet Watches for soldiers may be obtained at a discount of 15 per oent. (3s. in tho £); from A. E. M.
