It is now 50 years sinco settlement commenced in the district (says tho "Manawatu Standard"), and the Mayor (Mr. J. A. Nash) is at present in communication with some of the first settlers, hoping at on early bo able to arrange for a meeting to complete arrangements for a gathering to be held in October or November to celebrate the occasion.
