THE LATE MR. J. C. MACKY.
" Sir,—There is a movement in Auolc< land to raise a- sum of money in order to' establish a suitable memorial to the memory of the late Mr. J. C. Macky. It'has-been decided that this shall take tho form of a scholarship. It will be remembered that Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Macky lost their lives when the s.s.Lusitania was torpedoed. Tliero are doubtless many friends of the deceased gentleman in the Wellington district who would like to liavo au opportunity of assisting in this undertaking. Any who may be desirous of so doing are'invited to communicate with Mr° B. W. Buttle, c/o Kaiapoi Woollen Co., Ltd., Auckland/or to Messrs. H.
