INCITING REVOLT IN INDIA
SINISTER DISCLOSURES

The investigations here have not so, far disclosed the conneotion between i the German Consul, Dr. Bopp, and the alleged plot to incite rebellion in India, as" revealed by the arrests of Germans, Hindus, Turks, and others on the American steamship China. Two Amojrican vessels, the Maverick and Annie Larsen, laden with guns and portions of submarines, cleared from here for an Indian destination, with the object of stirring up a rebellion, but one was interned in Batavia, and the other was seized by the American officials before she quitted American waters. Proofs of Dr. Bopp's ajnnection with these activities is now in American hands. Two Hindus, revolutionists, who were taken off the Maverick, were sentenced by the British authorities to fifteen years' imprisonment at Shanghai for inviting a' revolution.
