Being now deprived of the pumd "distinction of fighting for King and country, I ask your acceptance of a chequo for £250, which I'-trust will be of some ossistance 'to, the brave boys nobly fighting on our febalf." The letter is from F. M. Nelson, farmer, AYhakamarumaru.
