DANNEVIRKE SHOW
"Though they Dannevirke District and Pastoral Association's 1 annual Show is one of the last to bo held in the North Island, it is by no means the least'. The seventh show — tio'be held on February 9 and 10—promises to be in keeping with its predecessors, and intending exhibitors should utako themselves acquainted with the .numerous - attractive features of tho schedule as early as possible. There are .many sections which offer wide | scope'to, those .'who are interested in .such; displays,' and dog, classes will be included; tliis year for tho first time, also a needlework section. Substantial improvements have been effected to tho grounds,. chief, of which is a handsome produce • hall, wlic'h will afford ample opportunity for display ,of the exhibits housed therein, and obviate the dust .nuisance in evidence in the old quarters.' The various classes have all been-liberally endowed with prizes, and already inquiries indicate all round : healthy competition. Mr. Jf. 0. Stubbs ' is still tho secretary, and schedulesi and any other -information relating to the show can be obtained on application to him at Ward Street, Dannevirke. En- ; tries close on January 26.
