A crowded tram-car was boarded by a gilded youth, physically fit, and so attired that it was obvious he was on his way to a dance. He struggled manfully as a "straphanger" for some time, and then a weather-beaten warrior, home on short leave from Flandf'l'S, rose from his seat, and addressing the daintily-dressed exquisite, said: "Take my seat, Miss."
