N.Z. SHEEP AT PANAMA EXHIBITION
In September last, tho Department of 'Agriculture, .'lndustries, ana Commerce sent forward to the • Panama Pacific Exhibition, on. behalf of a number of Now Zealand breeders, 31 head of sheep to compete in ' tho" live-ctock competitions to bo held in connection with tho exhibition early this month.
Unfortunately one of the animals died on tho voyage, leaving-.only 30 to par-' ticipato in the competitions. Tho New Zealand ■ Commissioner to the Exhibition has 1 now. cabled the Department stating that the animals have secured, altogether 24 .prizes, including three champions, two reserve champions, and six firsts. No further detoils are. given, but' tlio commissioner adds that full particulars have been mailed by letter, and these will be announced iii due course. 1 •
