Haivko's Bay.—The season baa been a very favourable) one for all forms of agriculture. The absence of lato frosts has placed the fruitgrower in this respect m a position of absolute safety. One frost occurring earlier in the season accounted for the loss of some stone fruits, but only to a very moderate extent. Judging by present appearances, a bountiful crop of all classes of fruit should be gathered. Black spot and other fungus diseases are. causing slightly more trouble than for some time, past, but spraying is being generally attonded to, so that danger iu this respect is not great. Palmerston North.—Apples:-Light to. heavy crop, but very patchy. Apricots: Light crop. - Cherries: Very disappoint-' ing crop, light. Gooseberries: Good crop, now being picked. Peaches: Patchy, average crop. .Nectarines: Average crop. Pears: '• Fair,' crop., Raspberries: Good crop.. Strawberries: Fair crop. Tomatoes: Good crop. ' . Wellington.—Apples::- Setting?- 'sp'len'didly. - There arc indications-of. a good crop of clean fruit. Gooseberriescrop and looking well. Lemons:: Small crop.
