'An Italian official communique states: Our offensive against the enemy's formidable rampart on the Coldilana was successful, despito an exceptionally stubborn resistance, and the rigours of an unusually early winter. After effective artillery preparation the infantry delivered a furious attack, and hoisted the flag on tlio summit amidst the snows, at a height of 2464 metres (over 8000 ft.).
