Members of the "Women's National lleservo in Napier, who havo conducted a "Red Cross Shop" for the past throo days, concluded their enterprise on Wednesday with the sum in hand of over £100, which is to go to tho provision of sandbags and leather waistcoats for tlie soldiers.
The girls, of the Central Mission Physical Culture Class have been in constant practice for soino weeks past with the intention'of giving a display in aid of the. Fund for Wounded Soldiers. This event will '.take' place in tho Concert Chamber on Thursday, September 9, and is expected to prove a great success. Tho class : comprises some sixty girls and ladies, whose work with rods, poles, balls,'ropes, etc., should be very interesting. Interspersed with tho physical items will be others, including some fancy dancing aiid. some pretty flag drill by . the .youngest members.
