MEETING OF PROGRESSIVE ' SOCIETY, - The second! annual meeting of the Wellington South Progressive Society was held in the Newtown Librarv last night. . Mr. A. A. George presided. The report and balance-sheet for the year were adopted, and the following officers elected: —President, Mr. E. Collie; secretary, Mr. J. Castle (re-elected); treasurer), Mr. A. Crosby (re-elected); vicepresidents, Messrs.. Bedell, Cooper, Preston, Wylio, and- Savidgc; executive committee, Messrs. Beveridge, D. Campbell, Cateror, George, Fownos, Greneide, Goodger, Ludwig, Hall, ' Obern, Worth, Jenkins; auditor, Mr._ R. Brown; solicitor, Mr. E. J. Fitzgibbon. Messrs. Campbell'and Castle were instructed to obtain information about the management of the museum. ,• _ The secretary was instructed to wTite thanking the City Council for the good work done in the district, and to. the Government for the courtesy with, winch the society's suggestions had been received 1 .
