THE MILITARY HOSPITALS

DAILY BULLETIN. The' 1 following information has been received concerning sickness in tho various military hospitals during the twenty-four hours preceding noon on Monday:— ; Palmerston North. —No serious cases. Total in hospital on August 1, 65, comprising : Appendicitis 1, measles '14, medical'2o. Waikanac.—Admissions, nil; discharges, 10. Totals aro: Convalescent, 47; measles, 10; measles complications, I; minor surgical, two; observation, '1. Kaiwarra.—Discharged, 8; remaining; 23. No serious'cases. .Featherston.—Measles, 15; minor surgical cases, 5; sore tliroat,-1; bronchial asthma, 1; neurasthenic and sciatica, 1; lymphangitis, 1; varicose, 1. No serious cases.Wellington.—Total number of cases, 54. Of the serious cases, 1 worse,. 3 no improvement, 1 doing well; 1 admission (scarlet fever),' 1 discharged. No' new serious cases. _ , Trentham. —Of the serious cases,' 1 much improved, 13 improving, 3 slight improvement, 1 not so well, 2 dangerously ill. Of the cases under observation, l'has improved, and is at present not serious, and 3 others (one of which is at Solway) are, still under observation. It is at least , seven days since the last meningitis case • was reported at Trentham, and no definite case lias been • reported from the Wellington Hospital since Juno 26. The total number of cases .of all kinds of sickness in the military hospitals on Monday was 364, as against 38 on Saturday and 514 on Tuesday last.
