MURPHY V. MITCHELL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, July 29. The match' between Syd. 'Mitchell, the present holder, and Denny Murphy exchampion, for tlio middle-weight championship of New Zealand, fifteen threeminute rounds, was fought at Hamilton last-night. The full time was seen out. Both men were remarkably fresh at the commencement of the final bout, whon the referee stepped into the ring, and spoke to the combatants. Apparentlyas a result, the final encounter was very willing, the sound of tlio gong saving Murphy, who was now staggering, from a knock-out. The referee announced "No contest," remarking that neither man was tryiug.
