THE CALL FOR RECRUITS STANDARD OF FITNESS RELAXED. By Telegraph—PreSß Association—Copyright 1 Melbourne, June 29. With a view to securing larger enlistments, Senator Pearce, acting on the recommendations of the recent Medical Conference, has decided to loosen tho regulations so far as they refer to teeth and height, and also to varicocele as a disqualifying factor. This will let in many men at presont disqualified. A. recruiting poster will be widely circulated, and recruiting depots established in the country districts. Senator Pearce reiterates the pressing need for bigger enrolments. NEW SOUTH WALES MINISTERS' CAMPAIGN. Sydney, June 29. The Premier (Mr. Holinan) is initiating an active recruiting campaign throughout the State. Lectures will be delivered in every centre by Ministers and members of Parliament. VICTOR TRUMPER'S DEATH.
