A COLD BATH

MAN EESCUED FKOM THE HAEBOUR About, seven o'clock last evening Constable Forsyth, who was on duty near the Queen's Wharf, heard a great splash just off the wharf. He hurried to the spot and discovered a somewhat bulky individual struggling in the water. The constable succeeded after some trouble in landing the man on the wharf. It was then very evident how the accident occurred. Constable Forsyth arrested the man for drunkenness, and he was eventually brought to Lambton Police Station, nearly stiff with the cold. Messrs. Meredith and Peters, who wore handy, assisted ■in the rescue.
