ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

MOTOR ACCIDENT. Two riders of a motor-bicyclo and eide-car attempted, to drive up Maioribanks Street last night. Tho machine refused to budgo when some distance up the hill, and commenced a dwonivard career. One of tho riders, Jack Cashman, was thrown off the vehicle, and sustained concussion of the brain, and was removed to the Hospital. His companion was deemed by the police, who arrived on tho scene, to be suffering from something else, aud he was removed to the lock-up. The latter will appear in Court this morning on a charge of insobriety. The injured man Cashman, who is an employee of the Wellington Harbour Board, is about 40 years of age, and lives at Oriental Bay. Up to a later hour last night he had not regained consciousness.
