(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Palmerston North, June 3. The King's Birthday was quiet here. A great deal of interest was taken in the seven-a-side football tournament, which attracted 26 teams from all parts of tho province. The finals resulted as follow: —Senior competition: Athletic (Wellington) boat Oriental (Wellington), 8 to nil; Junior; Athletic (Wellington) beat Berhampore (Wellington), by 3to nil. At tho call of time there.was no score, and an extra spell resulted in Athletic scoring 3 points in the third-class competition. Tho High School (Palmerston North) beat Feilding by 8 to 4.
