ANNUAL HEPORT.- ■ .. The sixteenth annual report of the Victoria. College -Students' Association contains the following, in'iflr alia:— Though tho past year ins Icon one of considerable activity for the association, tlio number of members on tho roll shows a decrease of seven, as compared with last year. With aver 500 students attending college, our membership should bo much larger. Oiving to the great success of tho extravaganza on tho first night, your committee decided- to icpeat tho performance on tho following Saturdayii.gbt. Tho repeat performance wa'>. howc-.rw. a failure. Tho extravaganza on tlio whole, liowever, was a success, resulting in a profit of over £90. Owing to tho alteration of tho terms, this couiinitlco Lad to deal with tlio question of capping. Arrangements aro now well n hand ■■for this year's carnival. Tho usual farowoll held at. tho conclusion of tho November examinations, and proved an enjoyable function, as did also the now students' welcome sccial and dance, at tlio eonvmoncevnont _of tho current term. Tho customary dinner was given to tlio candidates for tho Hhodes Scholarship last year. Tho -thirteenth, annual university tournamont was hold this year at Christchurch. Your debating representatives won tho debating contest, thereby regaining tho Joynt Scroll. Your atnletic representatives established throe new University Tecords, and the Cricket Club is to bo congratulated on thu inauguration of an inter-island cricket match at Easter.
