The Canadian Lawn Tennis Association has refused to send a team to England to play in the preliminary round of the Davis Cup. The Australians will have to go to America to meet Canada after the championships have been decided at Wimbledon. ■.-•:■ •••■■■
Brookes and Wilding are somewhat chagrined at Canada's 'action, having hoped to play tho first round In England.
It is understood that , it is very unlikely that Germany will send a team to America! consequently Australia's match in the second round will probably 1 bo cancelled, though the Team will have to remain in the States for the somi-final.
