LADIES' HOCKEY
FORMATION OF NEW CLUB. ii meeting of ladies to form a. Wed" nesday Hockey Club was held at the Y.M.C.A. jpst evening. Mr. Sheeran was in the chair. It was resolved that the club be called the Kia Ora Club, and that the colours be navy skirt and white sweater. About twenty members were elected. ■ Officers were elected as follow:— Patroness, Mrs. J. P.-Luke; president, Rev. Father Hickson; vice-presidents, Dr. A..L. Anderson, Messrs. H. F. O'Leasry, Linley, Mesdames Grant, Cam, F.' Grady; club captain, Miss V. llooney; vice-captain, Miss M. Nolan; secretary and treasurer, Miss Willett; Management Committee. Misses Simon, Clisby, and Guerin, and officers ex offioio.
The first practice-' will be neld< on Wednesday. A trophy was promised! for tho most frnprov-ea .player during the season.
