STRIKE OF CRICKET BALL MAKERS
DEMAND FOR HIGHER WAGES. By Telegraph—Piess Association—"opyrieht London, April 19. Cricket ball makers at Tonbndge have struck, demanding an increase in wages of ss. per dozen balls. The manufacturers admit that highly skilled men only earn 30s. weekly, but state that the retailers refuse to give a sufficient margin to allow of a faiY wage. The manufacturers claim that they have sufficient stock to last through the 1914. season.
