LYALL BAY ELECTORS.

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Lyali Bay and Maraniii Electors' Association was held last night. Mr. J. R. Stansell presided, and thero was an attendance of about thirty members. Rules and regulations of. tho association (which has just been formed) were considered, and'the objects wero set out as: (1) Advocacy of necessary public work, and efficient administration of municipal affairs; (2) to protect tho interests of the electors, and to _ create and foster a healthy public spirit on 'all questions affecting tho welfare of the district and city. ■ ' Rules and- regulations, to tho number of twenty-one;' and mostly drawn from .the rules of similar bodies, were adopted.' The annual subscription was set down at'2s. 6d. . "

Tlie election of officers resulted as follow:—President, Mr. G. E. Smith; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. R. Stansell, F. J Evans, R. Boutell, C. Foster, and A. W. Moran; secretary and treasurer, Mr. D. Cnrman; executive committee, Messrs. H. Ward, C. Stone, .H. R. Page, C. J. Ashton, G; Creighton, D. S. Lambert, J. Fairway, J. Robinson, and H. A. Chapman; 'lion, auditors, Messrs. E. 0. Rowe and J. Robinson. The matter of holding a carnival next season was mentioned, and it was decided that the subject should bo considered at the next, quarterly meeting. Meetings of the association will bo held quarterly, and tho committee will meet on the fourth Tuesday-in each month. '
