Attention is drawn to ihe advertisement which appears in this issue., in connection with tho lloiwhouua Agricultural and Pastoral Association's eighth mutual show, which is to he iteld on tho Levin racecourse on January -3. This show is increasing in importance each year, and making rapid progress. The usual sheep, cattle, pig, and horse classes are included in the schedule, and competition is well catered for. 'I'hore arc threo gold bracelets provided for the ladies' events. Two hoys' penv races, and four jumping competitions, besides others, are- included. The cheese industry is bounding ahead at a great pace, and some factories ai'3 showing increased profits. It is gratifying to find that all factories that have recently installed "Victor" Yats are amongst the increased-profit earners. But it is only.a repetition of things that have happened before.
