N.Z. FARMER ON "ROYAL" SHOW.
(By Telesraph.—Special Correspondent.) . Masterton, December 21. Jlr. William Porry, who recently returned from England, gavo an interesting address on Saturday before a large gathering of farmers on his observations wlieu abroad. Mr. Perry stated that he was not impressed with tho stock shown at tlic Royal Show. . There were individual cases .whero stock were very superior, but in tho majority of cases tho sheep were, in liis opinion, too leggy. Ho remarked upon tlio strong constitution of the Homo sheep, and expressed the opinion that this was duo to climatic conditions, and to dry feedin" Mr. Perry was accorded a hearty voto of thanks, on tlio motion of Mr. G. R. Sykes, M.P., who stated thai ho had strongly recommended Mr. Perry as one of tlio Government nominees on the Board of Agriculture.
