The sub-committeo's action in regard to this matter was confirmed. A resolution was carried that matches at Athletic Park should b-j started at 2.45, p.m., commencing on Saturday . next. A request for financial aid was received from tno Victoria College Club, sin connection with tho match to bo played against Auckland University on June 3. It' was decided to inform, tl)c Victoria College Club that the match conVl be played as a curtain-raiser to the Vaira-rapa-Wellirigton representative match on Athletic Park. No definite promise of a share of the gate proceeds could be made. Messrs. 0. Fonman, L. Flowers, and W. Eraser were p appointed junior selectors for the season. THE AVKDNIISDAV TEAMS. 'Scratch teams representing Butchers and Athletic met at Athletic I'nrk yesterday, when Butchers defeated their opponents by 6 points, to 0. The winners' 6Core would have been S if I.ittlu had had a knowledge of .the rule.-, of the game. Hay had juft scored for the winners, and Little was to tnke the kick, hut instead of allowing another placer to placu the ball, he did'it himself and the capital goal which he kicked was of course declared informal.
