The following are tlie results: — PETONE —HI*I MAI. The game between Petone and Hnj Mai was piayecl at Petone. Tho home team won ilie toss, and decided to play with tlie wild at their hacks. llio game opened with Pc-tono breaking away lioin ina bully, and, lor a time, tney hud llui Mai 011 the delencc, but oil-side play relieved the pressure. A misunderstanding between bay and Hoy lost the chance. J. M'Ewan then started a passmg-nish, which carried play right down the field, and Cavill finished up by finding the net. Petone, 2; Hui Mai, 1. From tlie "bullyoft'," Hui Mai rushed play into I-ctone's circle, and, irom a scramble ill front of tho goal, the ball was kicked through. A goal was awarded to Hui Mai. Petone, 2; Hui Mai, 2. Just before the call of time, Hui Mai bad to concede a corner, from which W. M'Ewan landed a goal. The game thus ended ill favour of Petono by :! goals to 2. _ For the winners the M Ewan Bros., Pointon, Saul, Parrant, and Burn played well, while for llui Mai M'Kewen, Gillney, Robinson, Hoy, and Bree were the best. Mr. C. I'. M'lvenzie had charge of the game.

. HEREAWA—ARTILLERY. The match between Hereawa and Artillery was played at Karon, and, after a very even game, resulted in a win for Hereawa by 3 goals to 2. In the first spell play was even, and ended without cither side scoring. In tho second spell, Hereawa, for a time, had things tlicii own way, and Boyd (1) and Le Compto (-) scored in that order, 'l'hen Artillery, putting more life into their piaj', had Hereawa on the defensive, and tileeson and Batten each scored. When the whistle went, Hereawa were defending. Lo Compte, Boyd, and Clementson for Hereawa, and Gleeson, Batten, James, and Cox for Artillery, played well. Mr. Enipson was referee.
