REFORM CLUB TROUBLES.
Mr. Wiliston Churchill and Mr. LloydGeorge have resigned their membership of the Reform Club. . Some feeling has been 'aroused at the Club by the non-success of a well-known gilitician's candidature for membership, o was nominated by Mr. Churchill and seconded by a prominent Scottish Liberal M.P., and his election had been anticipated as a matter of course. No hint of any objection had been given, and the result of the ballot was a great surprise. There is a largo Unionist dement 111 tho club, and the rejection is attributed by the candidate's friends to party, feeling. The incident is resented by advanced Liberals in tho club, and there has since been talk of retaliation at future ballots. To the similar rejection recently of a candidate for membership in whom Mr. Lloyd-Georgo was interested is attributed the Chancellor's resignation.
